Project Overview:

Direct Appliance Rentals (DAR) was founded in 2008, with the vision to enable customers who would otherwise have difficulties accessing consumer finance to take advantage of new technologies and enjoy brand new household goods by leasing these items from DAR.

Nimblex Solution: Client Rental / Lease Management

The Challenge:

Due to continued growth within Australia, DAR required an update to their existing Nimblex Client Rental and Lease Management system to cater for this expansion. The system needed to be configured and implemented without disruptions to day to day business operations, while at the same time requiring very little user training.

To solve this, Nimblex has adopted a release-based approach, introducing smaller incremental updates to the system on a bi-monthly basis. This has allowed the business to introduce significant changes to a largely non-technical workforce in a manageable way, while also allowing for continuous improvement on changes already made.

  • Integration with the DAR website for automated processing of new applications
  • Update to application processing for better handover between franchise departments
  • Updates to bank statement import functionality to improve performance and traceability of transactions
  • Improvements to customer management, including:
    • Template based email communications with automatic merge of customer, contract, and enquiry data
    • Template based SMS communications, with automatic merge of customer, contract, and enquiry data
    • The ability to restrict edits to communication templates sections for improved legal compliance
    • Improvements to the management of customer history, including provision for multiple sets of contact details, references, and contract cosigners
  • Improvements to system design to better accommodate the needs of a larger business, including better controls over access to workflow steps auditability
  • New task management system, including:
    • Automatic assignment of tasks raised on workflows to system users with the ability for managers to update assignment rules
    • Flexible deadlines on tasks with complete auditability
    • Ability to record comments on tasks, which can then be folded into a complete history of related records
    • Ability for managers to create tasks independent of standard workflows and assign to individual users
  • Complete overhaul of permissions within the system including:
    • Better departmental structure
    • More granular permission assignment by role
    • Simplified user setup with automated permission assignment based on selected
